Mericia (Reese) Young is a 26 year old native of Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Stanton College Prep and earned her Associates degree from the University of North Florida (UNF). Her dreams of becoming a pediatrician slowly subsided after her love for hair (and hate for biology) began to take over.

"How did you come up with the name?!" - A question that gets asked more than you think. At first, the name was "Braids by Reese," which is quite ... typical. Reese knew that in order to be recognized and taken seriously in this industry, the name had to match. That's when Braids Amillion was birthed. In 2017, what started as a hobby was now the start of a new business venture. It seemed pretty easy, but the start of something big always comes with a few challenges.

After receiving her A.A. from UNF, Reese transferred to Florida State University in hopes of obtaining her bachelors degree. She braided and attended school full-time, and had only one year left. After enduring a miscarriage and a huge financial loss at the beginning of the outbreak of Covid-19, Reese was forced to move from Tallahassee back home to Jacksonville.

Since the summer of 2020, Reese has grown her following and popularity throughout several states, including Florida, Georgia, and California. She has serviced nealy 1,000 women in 5 years, and she celebrates this milestone with the launch of her new product line, "The BAM Collection." Anticipated to launch April 2022, Reese has developed natural hair care products to fit the needs of all her clients.
